Ajman University students have significantly contributed to the Climate Ambassadors Program 2023, initiated by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in collaboration with the Expo School Programme. The program simulated a COP28 conference, equipping students with a practical understanding of climate change challenges and strategies.
Forty students from Ajman University, representing 40 nations, tackled pressing climate issues related to carbon emissions and greenhouse gas mitigation. As ambassadors for their respective countries, they worked collaboratively to explore specific challenges, negotiate solutions, and engage in dialogues to reduce emissions and foster international cooperation.
The Climate Ambassadors program is a valuable platform for raising awareness and empowering youth to actively engage in addressing climate change. Ajman University's Office of Sustainability encourages student participation in such initiatives, promoting environmental conservation and sustainable lifestyles.
By integrating sustainability into its curriculum and activities, Ajman University provides students with practical opportunities to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts. The Climate Ambassadors program is a prime example of how the university fosters student engagement and prepares them to be leaders in the fight against climate change.
