The Alliance for Sustainability Leadership in Education (EAUC)

Ajman University is proud to announce its membership in the "Alliance for Sustainability Leadership in Education" (EAUC)!

The EAUC is a prestigious global network, representing over 285 universities worldwide, including top institutions like the University of Oxford and Imperial College London. With a combined student body exceeding 4.5 million and a half-million strong faculty and staff, the EAUC is a powerful force for sustainability education. EAUC is the leading body for sustainability in the post-16 education sector in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. They have been promoting sustainability in post-16 education for over 20 years. Primarily a membership body, they serve 300 organisations whilst also working to change systems that enable sustainability action. 

EAUC is both a charity and a company limited by guarantee and is always not-for-profit. This alliance promotes holistic whole organisation approaches where leadership and governance, estates and operations, teaching and learning and collaborations are all actively driving sustainability so that they’re equipping learners for their lives, being responsible organisations and shaping society for the better. EAUC does this by supporting members to create meaningful sustainability change, convening the network to generate solutions to shared challenges and creating systems change to establish a more enabling environment for sustainability action.

Notably, Ajman University is the sole UAE member and the second in the MENA region, solidifying its position as a sustainability leader.
