Ajman University participated in the COP28 UAE Changemakers Majlis, held on November 6, 2023, at The Oberoi Beach Resort in Ajman. The event, hosted by Her Excellency Mariam Almheiri, UAE Minister of Climate Change & Environment, focused on "Municipal Climate Action to Embed Sustainability."

Key attendees included Ajman University Chancellor Dr. Karim Seghir and Office of Sustainability Manager Ms. Maya Haddad. This exclusive gathering of 25 climate leaders discussed innovative solutions for advancing sustainability at the municipal level, with a focus on best practices in urban planning, waste management, and renewable energy.
