Ajman University Leads Discussion on Climate Sustainability at "Make it Sustainable" Forum

Ajman University hosted the "Make it Sustainable" Forum, featuring a dynamic panel discussion titled "Raising the Climate Capacity, Mobility, and Sustainability in the Region." Moderated by Dr. Dalia Hafez, Assistant Professor at the College of Architecture, Art and Design, the session brought together leading experts to discuss key strategies for advancing sustainability in the MENA region.

Panelists like Mr. Hassaan Ghazali, Senior Manager at the UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerators, emphasized the urgent need for industries to transition to clean energy and reduce their carbon footprint. Mrs. Yasmine Berbir, Head of Sustainability MENA at Nestlé Middle East, highlighted corporate strategies for promoting a circular economy and reducing waste. Meanwhile, Mr. Matt Doran from the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) discussed sustainable practices in the construction sector, focusing on reducing emissions while preserving quality of life. Ms. Jamila El Mir, Senior Advisor to the UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP28, underscored the importance of public-private partnerships in driving a low-carbon economy.
