Ajman University Takes the Spotlight at COP28 Panel on Circular Economy
Ajman University played a key role at the COP28 Green Zone, participating in the panel discussion titled “Circular Economy, Innovative Business Models for a Sustainable Growth”. The event, developed by Abu Dhabi University, brought together industry leaders and academics to explore how circular economy principles can drive sustainability while fostering economic growth.
Ajman University was represented by Ms. Maya Haddad, the university’s Sustainability Manager. Her participation highlighted the institution’s commitment to sustainability and its role in promoting innovative business models. Ms. Haddad shared valuable insights on integrating sustainability into academic and operational practices, underscoring the importance of education in advancing a circular economy.
The panel also featured experts such as Mr. Achraf Ellili, CEO of Flow Progressive Logistics; Dr. Alain Daou, Dean of the School of Business at AUB-Mediterraneo; and Prof. Barry O'Mahony, Dean at Abu Dhabi University, among others. The discussion focused on reducing waste, reusing resources, and creating sustainable business models.
