A new graduation project published on Behance is redefining how volunteerism is perceived and practiced, turning fleeting acts of kindness into a lasting, sustainable lifestyle. Titled “ATHAR” (أثر), which translates to “Impact” or “Trace,” the project is a comprehensive social awareness campaign that seeks to institutionalize the culture of volunteerism. At its core is the belief that every individual possesses a unique “fingerprint” that can leave a positive mark on society.
The project, published on Behance in November 2025, reflects a growing trend in socially conscious design: using strategic branding and compelling storytelling to address community challenges. By creating a complete visual identity system, “ATHAR” bridges the gap between the abstract concept of volunteering and the tangible, everyday actions that constitute it. The campaign features a distinctive logo inspired by the human fingerprint symbolizing individuality and the unique impact each person can make. This visual language, combined with a thoughtful color palette and authentic photography, creates a cohesive and emotionally resonant brand that encourages participation and celebrates contribution.
The project’s deliverables demonstrate a deep understanding of integrated campaign design. This includes a comprehensive brand guideline, a suite of office stationery, eye-catching outdoor and indoor posters, a fully functional mobile application for logging volunteer hours and discovering opportunities, and an interactive website that connects volunteers and organizers. Furthermore, a dedicated magazine titled “ATHAR” was created to document stories of positive change, providing a platform for volunteers to share their experiences and inspire others.
Supporting SDG 13: Climate Action
This project supports the spirit of Sustainable Development Goal 13 by promoting the social and civic engagement that underpins climate action. By creating a structured, accessible, and rewarding ecosystem for volunteering, “ATHAR” helps build the social capital necessary for community-led environmental initiatives. It also demonstrates how creative student work can contribute to the UAE’s broader sustainability goals by encouraging active citizenship and collective responsibility. The project further aligns with SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
