The partnership encompasses several key areas, including participating in national sustainability challenges, securing research grants, and receiving formal recognition for the university's contributions to social and environmental causes.
Key Achievements & Awards
1. MAJRA Impact Seal – Platinum Level
Ajman University has been honored with the MAJRA Impact Seal at the Platinum Level, the highest tier of recognition awarded by the National CSR Fund. This prestigious seal is a testament to AU's unwavering commitment to embedding sustainability, social responsibility, and positive community impact across all facets of its operations—from academics and research to campus life and community outreach. Achieving the Platinum level places Ajman University among the leading institutions in the UAE that have demonstrated excellence, transparency, and measurable outcomes in their CSR and sustainability initiatives.
2. MAJRA Sustainable Impact Award 2025 – Best University-Led Project
Ajman University's community-driven initiative, the "Greening Communities: Mangrove Planting Project," was named the Best University-Led Project and top 20 project at the MAJRA Sustainable Impact Challenge 2025, and received a monetary prize worth AED 70,000.

Competition & Recognition: The project was selected as one of the Top 20 national sustainability initiatives from a pool of more than 228 entries from across the UAE.

Award Ceremony: The prestigious award ceremony was held under the patronage of H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Chairman of Majra’s Board of Trustees.

Supported Research: The research project of Dr. Dalia Hafiz, Assistant Professor at AU's College of Architecture, Art and Design, received support under the first cycle of this program.

Project Focus: Her project, titled "Humanizing Urban Heritage: Revitalizing Al-Satwa through Human-Centered Design (Streets of Memory)," aims to document and analyze the urban and architectural heritage of the Al-Satwa neighborhood in Dubai. This highlights AU's dedication to impactful research that contributes to community development and the preservation of the UAE's architectural and cultural heritage.
