Ajman University has established a distinguished association with Awards International, a global leader in recognizing excellence across business, sustainability, and education. Through this partnership, the University contributes its expertise to one of the region's most prestigious sustainability platforms—the Gulf Sustainability Awards (GSA™) .

Since 2016, the Gulf Sustainability Awards have served as a beacon of excellence, honoring organizations and individuals driving impact across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives throughout the Gulf region. With a unique judging process that combines written submissions with live presentations before an independent panel of experts, the awards have become a benchmark for sustainability leadership.

Ms. Maya Haddad – Judge, Gulf Sustainability Awards 2025 & 2026

Ms. Maya Haddad, Senior Sustainability Manager at Ajman University's Office of Sustainability, has been selected to serve as a distinguished judge for the Gulf Sustainability Awards in both 2025 and 2026.

With over a decade of experience pioneering and leading comprehensive sustainability programs, Ms. Haddad brings a wealth of expertise to the judging panel. She holds international certifications in five ISO standards, including food safety, HACCP, quality management, and environmental management. Her contributions to sustainability have been widely recognized, including being awarded the "Plan to Action: Year of Sustainability Seal" for her impactful contributions to sustainability in the UAE.

In her capacity as a judge, Ms. Haddad evaluates entries across various sustainability categories, assessing the innovation, purpose, and measurable impact of initiatives submitted by organizations from both the private and public sectors across the Gulf region. Her role reflects Ajman University's growing influence in sustainability discourse and its commitment to advancing ESG principles across industries.
