A new graduation project done by a graphic design's students is using the power of visual design to inspire wildlife conservation and environmental responsibility. Titled “Ihyaa” (إحياء), which translates to “Revival,” the project is a comprehensive awareness campaign that aims to rebuild a balanced relationship between humans and nature. At its core is a mission to protect four critical natural environments, the desert, forest, sea, and snow, and to contribute to the rescue of endangered species that represent the heart of our planet’s biodiversity.
The project, published on Behance in December 2025, reflects a growing trend in sustainable design: using compelling visual storytelling and strategic branding to make environmental issues more accessible and urgent. By creating a complete visual identity system, the project helps bridge the gap between scientific facts about biodiversity loss and public understanding. The campaign features a distinctive Arabic calligraphy logo inspired by the natural elements it seeks to protect, along with a cohesive color palette drawn from the environments themselves. The visual system is applied across a wide range of materials, from social media campaigns and outdoor billboards to an educational children's book that introduces younger audiences to conservation through storytelling.
Supporting SDG 13: Climate Action
This project directly supports Sustainable Development Goal 13 by promoting climate action through education, awareness, and creative engagement. By highlighting the interconnectedness of ecosystems and the urgent need to protect endangered species, “Ihyaa” helps build public support for conservation efforts, a key component of climate mitigation. It also demonstrates how creative student work can contribute to the UAE’s broader sustainability goals by encouraging everyday environmental responsibility and fostering a culture of stewardship. The project further aligns with SDG 15 (Life on Land), SDG 14 (Life Below Water), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
