Mangrove Planting Project
The primary objective of this initiative is the restoration of mangrove ecosystems, crucial for mitigating the impacts of climate change. These trees play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance and enhancing sustainability by supporting biodiversity, protecting coastlines from erosion, providing critical habitat for fish and other marine life and absorbing significant amounts of carbon dioxide, thus offering a natural solution to climate challenges.
Ajman University is keen on being an active partner with several key stakeholders in the UAE for planting mangroves at the emirate of Ajman. These partners include:

3- Al Zorah Golf Club
4- Goumbook
5- Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation
6- Al Zorah Development Private Company
Ajman University mobilizes volunteers for the mangrove planting initiative from internal community members such as students, faculty and staff, local schools, neighbouring organizations and other institutions.
