Ajman University took significant strides in bolstering its fire safety measures in April 2022. Faculties and staff receive training to become Fire Marshals, ensuring the safety and security of the campus community in case of fire emergencies.
The training covered fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and proper fire extinguisher usage. This initiative equipped participants with the skills to assess fire risks, respond to alarms, and guide others to safety. With a remarkable turnout from faculty and staff, this training reinforces the university's dedication to maintaining a secure campus environment, adhering to the principles of sustainability and community safety outlined in SDG #11, as well as SDG #3 by emphasizing the importance of such measures to prevent injuries and fatalities in emergencies.
