Ajman University’s Office of Sustainability is pleased to announce that it participated in the UNESCO’s Greening Education Partnership (GEP) Final Working Group Meetings on 15 November 2024. The international gathering brought together institutions, educators, and climate action stakeholders to assess progress and launch new guidance in three priority areas: green school infrastructure, teacher-responsive climate education, and community greening.
Representing Ajman University, our team joined the Communications and Advocacy working group, offering insights into strategies for youth engagement, awareness campaigns, and embedding sustainability within campus culture. Our contributions drew on Ajman University’s recent sustainability initiatives and student-led projects to illustrate practical pathways for educational institutions to enhance climate literacy.
Ajman University’s involvement in this forum marks another important step in its journey to strengthen its presence on the global sustainability stage. The Office of Sustainability reaffirms Ajman University’s dedication to transforming education systems toward climate responsiveness and to working alongside UNESCO and partner institutions in shaping the next generation of sustainable campuses.
