Ajman University Rises to 19th in the Arab University Rankings 2026

Ajman University has achieved a significant advancement in the Arab University Rankings 2026, rising from 40th place to 19th across the region. The results were announced in November 2025 during the Times Higher Education Arab Universities Summit held in Amman, Jordan, marking an important milestone in the University’s continued institutional progress.

The rankings assess universities using a comprehensive methodology aligned with the global World University Rankings framework, evaluating performance across teaching quality, research environment, knowledge transfer, and international outlook. Ajman University’s upward movement reflects measurable improvement across these dimensions and highlights the impact of sustained, strategic development.

A particularly strong area of performance was International Outlook, underscoring the University’s focus on global engagement through international partnerships, academic collaboration, and cross-border knowledge exchange. This emphasis has contributed to the growth of a diverse academic community and strengthened the University’s position within the regional and international higher education landscape.

Ajman University was represented at the summit by senior leadership and institutional representatives, including Dr Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University; Dr Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Prof. Mustahsan Mir, Vice Chancellor for Institutional Planning and Effectiveness; and Ms. Maya Haddad, Senior Sustainability Manager. Their presence reflected the University’s integrated leadership approach and active participation in regional higher education dialogue.
